Sometimes you want to invest in developing your leaders, but haven’t discovered their natural preference or greatest developmental needs and don’t know where to start. Using a variety of methods, including interviews and surveys, we assess personality type, leadership strengths, leadership styles and development needs in individuals, within groups, or across entire organizations and recommend leadership development strategies to meet those needs.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®
Developed out of the personality theories of Carl Jung, by Isabel Myers and Katharine Cook Briggs, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) is one of the most widely used personality assessments in organizations today. The MBTI® helps individual leaders and teams better understand the preferences in perceiving and judging that govern where we direct our energy, how we take in information, how we make decisions, and whether we prefer structure or flexibility. As certified MBTI® Master Practitioners, Peeler Associates helps leaders understand these preferences to facilitate better self-awareness, communication, leadership development.
Everything DiSC® Behavioral Assessments
Everything DiSC® profiles use the third-generation of the DiSC® assessment—a research-validated learning model—to create a highly personalized learner experience. The DiSC is a straight forward model made up of four basic styles of Dominance, Influence, Conscientiousness and Steadiness. Peeler Associates uses the DiSC® profiles to provide leaders with a simple and insightful look into themselves and how to understand others. Each profile is topic-specific with in-depth information including tips, strategies, and action plans to help leaders become more effective.
The Leadership Circle Profile™
One of the most powerful tools that we use to gauge individual leadership effectiveness is The Leadership Circle Profile™ (TLCP.) A true breakthrough among 360 degree assessments. It is the first to connect a well-researched battery of competencies with the underlying motivations and habits of thought, revealing the relationship between patterns of action and the internal assumptions that drive behavior. TLCP goes to the source of behavior to get greater leverage on change and to advance the coaching conversation.
The Leadership Circle Profile and Leadership Cultural Survey were developed and are owned by The Leadership Circle™. Marie Peeler and certain associates are certified by The Leadership Circle.
Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI™)
The TKI, which has been the leading conflict handling style assessment for over 40 years, is a self-report assessment that measures an individual’s conflict-handling style in five modes: collaborating, competing, accommodating, avoiding, and compromising. By assessing behavior along the two basic dimensions of assertiveness and cooperativeness, the TKI helps individuals determine if they might be over-using or under-using certain conflict–handling styles.
EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 Emotional Intelligence Assessments
Emotional Intelligence, believed to be a far more reliable determinant of success than IQ, is a set of interrelated personal skills that determine how well we understand and manage our emotions, deal with the demands and stresses of life, and understand and relate with others. The EQ-i 2.0 is the most popular, reliable, and scientifically validated assessment of an individual’s Emotional Intelligence. With special reporting capability for leaders, groups, and higher education and a separate assessment available for 360 degree feedback, the EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 are our go-to assessments for individuals and organizations that want to increase their Emotional Intelligence.
